Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum will host a FREE, fun-filled, family festival for design fans of all ages on Saturday, July 17. Visitors are invited to look, learn and interact with design of all kinds and to become designers for the day themselves.

Activities will include:

•Fashion drawing with a designer who has created clothes for your favorite dolls and a lesson led by a designer from Sesame Workshop.
•Everyone can design their own buttons and book bags at hands-on workshops led by teaching artists and museum educators.
•Special activities will celebrate the current National Design Triennial: Why Design Now? exhibition, which focuses on sustainable design that improves the lives of people around the world.
•Younger children will enjoy open-ended block building using The Rockwell Group’s Imagination Playground in a Box, design-themed story-telling and a special appearance by Cookie Monster.

This event is part of Cooper-Hewitt’s free series of family programs and school programs, Target Design Kids and Target Design K-12.
