Fashion should express the sensuality, sexiness and attitude of the woman. Beautiful clothes are not necessarily sexy.

My approach to design and fashion is perhaps unconventional next to my contemporaries but is illustrated by my often brutal honesty when describing my design philosophy. I guess my approach is influenced by my pragmatism.

I do not work to traditional fashion seasons. I see design as a continuous flow of ideas and as such fashion seasons are just a mark in time on that creative time line. That is why I present my work very late compared with my contemporaries with some pieces being designed just moments before presentation.

I don't believe in collections. To me, stylish people will always mix and match pieces from several designers, so the idea of a themed collection is actually highly undesirable. The only connection in my pieces are those that are designed close together in my design timeline. This gives me the freedom to present fresh ideas when I want to and not when they fall into a relevant collection.

I believe that clothes should compliment and enhance the mood of the wearer and not dictate it. As such I think sensuality exudes more from simple silhouettes that are executed beautifully.

I do not seek celebrity endorsement. I will not give my pieces away in the hope that I will get subsequent publicity. I think it is disrespectful to people who buy your clothes. For me, the real VIPs are the people who chose to wear my pieces because the like them.

I do not seek fame. I have no appointed PR agency, firstly because I cannot afford it but mostly because I seek to subvert what is expected, because without subversion, there is no discovery.
